AUGUST WORKSHOP 2017 - SPRINGVALE PARK

                                                                 

    Anthea is available to run a variety of Training or Professional Development sessions in Schools, Adult Training Centres, Childcare Centres, Early Learning Centres. and Organisations.


1 Hour Workshops- $250
Introduction to Video Self Modelling(VSM)- Introduction to VSM, how it works and how it can be used. This session runs for 1 hour and is for people who want to know more about VSM.
Challenging Behaviours- Understanding challenging behaviours, how to use Practical Functional Behaviour Analysis (FBA), and teaching replacement behaviours.
Special Education in the Mainstream- Teachers Essential Toolkit.-Basic strategies to cater for Special Needs students, including understanding Visuals, Schedules, Communication and Behavioural strategies.
Creating Calm Classrooms- Setting up safe and predicable classroom environments through creating routines, using schedules and visuals. Learn to teach basic relaxation techniques to students. 


3 Hour Workshops- $500
Video Self Modelling - Introduction to VSM. See samples. Learn about the research behind VSM. Learn to make VSM and how to a know what skill to teach by analyzing skills or behaviours and creating replacement behaviours. This workshop is for anyone living with or working with people with Special Needs, such as Autism, Down's Syndrome, Intellectual disability or developmental delay, who want to learn to implement a change in behaviour or assist in skill learning.
Teaching students with Challenging Behaviours- Learn to understand students with Challenging Behaviours, through Functional Behaviour Analysis, how to explicitly teach expected and replacement behaviours, practical and simple strategies to teach self regulation and provide a Positive Behaviour approach in the classroom.
Special Education in the Mainstream Classroom- Teacher's Essential Toolkit- Students with Special needs require safe, predictable learning environments. Learn to understand the behaviours and needs of students. Manage your students through the use of Visuals, teaching Self Regulation, behavioural expectations, use of Video Self Modelling, and understanding how to manage sensory needs of students.      
Creating Calm Classrooms- Optimize student's chance of success by creating a calm, safe and predictable learning environment. Teach students to self regulate through movement breaks, meeting sensory needs and incorporating simple Yoga and Mindfulness techniques throughout the school day.

Create a group of experts in your school or organisation who can continue to train, advise and support staff to make VSMs and VPMs.
Includes intense training of a small group who will become your experts, They will create their own VSMs and trial them with clients. These VSMs will then be used to train your whole staff on the success of VSM in an Introductory session. Maintaining the use of VSM and ongoing training in your organisation will be done by your own VSM trained Experts.  This  option is for organisations who want to implement VSM across the organisation, and want the learning to be sustainable and ongoing for all staff.
Private Consultation -POA
Anthea can work privately with you and your child within your home to develop a series of VSMs to assist your child reach milestones and achieve success. Issues such as communication, self regulation, toileting, participation in regular family life and routines, dressing, eating and play skills can be addressed with VSM. You can also learn this way to make VSMs yourself as issues arise.
